About myself

For some insight, about 10 years ago I set myself a goal: to leave my comfortable home in England, travel, to live in a different European country, learn the local language there, to build a career, to make a good quality of life for myself, and adapt a different way of living

Here I am today, living in Utrecht, speaking a good level of Dutch, and working temporarily as a Project Manager in Amsterdam.

Other things I enjoy include Italian cooking (recently learnt how to make fresh Farfallle), interesting discussions about history, good coffee, race cycling, and city breaks on the weekends. Additionally, I also sometimes volunteer at a stichting; a cafe in utrecht helping young people, I have participated in several running events, and I am also member of a classic car club in Hilversum.

I also hit a time of 8:57 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in July 2021, something to this day that i'll never forget !

One of the reasons I enjoy living in Utrecht, aside from great opportunites, great social life, and convenient location nearby Amsterdam, it is a city wherein modernity meets tradition: bicycles, sustainability, contemporary urban planning meets a historic city center that still manages to retain its old time charm.

Voor mij, een van de redenen waarom wonen in Utrecht een goede keuze was, behalve van carrièremogelijkheden, sociaal leven, en gunstige ligging vlakbij Amsterdam, het is eigenlijk een stad is waar toekomstig ideen en traditie samenkomen: fietsen, duurzaamheid, moderne stadsplanning en een historisch stadscentrum met oude-stijl charme heeft.

Copenhagen is also another place close to heart, I thoroughly enjoy spending time there for a variety of reasons. I like for its scandinavian warmth, it's free spirited creative culture, it's architectural mix of baroque, old industrial, nordic, and it's forward thinking approach to sustainability.

Kopenhagen is ook een plek dat spreekt mij aan, voor verschillende redenen. Ik hou van de Scandinavische warmte, de vrije en creatieve cultuur, de architectonische mix van barok, oud industrieel en Noordse stijl, en de vooruitstrevende benadering van duurzaamheid.
