About Joe
Hi, I'm Joe, and I'm an expat from England living in the Netherlands. For about 10 years, I had a goal of moving to the European mainland. After taking a long road trip in the summer of 2017, I decided that the Netherlands was where I wanted to go. Since then, I have made Utrecht my home, learned Dutch, built my career from the ground up, and built a bustling social life. Moving here was the best decision I ever made.
Not to mention, in my spare time I enjoy Italian cooking, conversations about history, good coffee, european city breaks on the weekends, and quality time with friends and family. I am the presenter of a history documentary on youtube, still a growing project with a team of 10, and occasionally I take part in motorsport track days. More of that on my website.
